General

The following terms and conditions applies to the business relationship between bidfox (www.bidfox.co.za) and the users (anyone accessing/using the web site/services)

Eligibility

By placing a bid/s on bidfox, users confirm that they are legally allowed to enter into a binding contract and are at least 18 years old.

Registration

By registering/using the site you are verifying that you have read and understand the terms and conditions. Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation email containing a link which you will have to click to confirm your registration and email address. Registration is only permitted once per email address and username.

Bidding

When placing a bid on bidfox.co.za, 1 bid will be debited from your bids account. Bids are 100% non refundable under any circumstance, including, but not limited to:

• site malfunction
• accidental bidding
• another person accessing your account and using your bids
• accidental double bidding (clicking more than once by mistake)

Winning an auction

If you are the last user to have bid on the close of an auction, you are deemed the winner of the said auction. You will be emailed a confirmation email where you will have the choice to accept or deny the win. Denying the auction will result in you forfeiting the win, and you will not be able to claim the auctioned item. You will not be refunded for any bids. You will not be liable for the amount of the auction. By accepting the auction, you enter into a contract with bidfox and will have 48 hours (from the close of the auction) to make the payment as indicated by the final amount. Failure to do so will result in your account being terminated and any bids in credit being forfeited.

Account closure

Users can close their account at any time by following the close account link on the myaccount page. Your details will be removed from our server. Any remaining bids in credit will be forfeited. Bidfox reserves the right to close a users account without warning, at any time. Depending on the reason for the account closure, you may or may not be credited with monetary value of any bids you have in credit. Failure to comply by the terms and conditions will result in instant closure of your account and all remaining bids will be forfeited.

Loss or damages

Bidfox cannot be held liable for any or all loss or damages in any manner as a result of using/accessing the web site or any of its sub domains, files or contents, including but not limited to:

• loss of personal information
• loss of money
• loss of bids
• malware, viruses or anything of that nature
• damage to computer hardware/software
• accessing of credit card data

Credit card/monetary transactions

Bidfox uses payfast to process all of its credit card/monetary transaction .None of your card information is ever stored on our server. Bidfox cannot be held liable to any loss/damages/misuse of credit/debit card info/funds or for any transcation made by the user.

User info

Your privacy is important to us and your personal information will never be shared with any other 3rd party.

Site malfunction/down time

In the result of site down time for any reason, the site will be "paused", if possible until further notice. Bidfox cannot be held liable for any or all loss or damages of any nature caused by site down time .
